Phenomenal French Toast


⅔ cup non dairy milk
4 tsp whole wheat pastry flour
1 ½ tsp Red Star nutritional yeast
4 slices bread

Place mild, flour and yeast flakes in a small mixing bowl, and beat with a wire whisk to make a smooth, thin batter. Pour batter into a wide, shallow bowl

Dip bread slices, one at a time into the batter, saturating both sides

In a lightly oiled skillet over medium heat, add soaked bread slices in a single layer. If skillet isn't big enough to cook all 4 slices at once, cook just two slices at a time

When the bottoms of the bread slices are well browned, turn each over with metal spatula. Cook the other sides until they are a deep golden brown

Enjoy with syrup or fresh fruit!
